• Please do NOT print your name or contact details on your submission document, including in the file name.
• Cordite only accepts unpublished work.
• Simultaneous submissions? Sure. Just inform us or withdraw if the work is accepted elsewhere.
• Please send a maximum of three (3) poems in your submission. Submit only one time. 2nd and 3rd submissions, even if 1 poem apiece, will be rejected.
• Please send all of your works in one (1) document. For electronic poetry, submit a document with instructions on how and where to access the submission. Large sound and video files can be shared via Drive or similar open means. Submit a document with those URLs.
• We do not consider poems that were made, either in part or in full, using generative AI.
• Submissions will only be accepted via this online submissions form.
• Authors whose poems are accepted for the issue will be included on our mail list (which can be opted out of).
• As a government-funded non-profit charity, we can only pay Australian citizens and permanent residents for poems published.
• Once published, a poem will not be removed or unpublished with the exception of plagiarism accusation or where an author feels unsafe. Outside of exceptional circumstances, retracting a published work will incur a fee.

• Use this form to pitch essays and other longform works to Cordite Poetry Review. Do not use it to pitch books or individual poems. Submissions that don't align with our guidelines may be disregarded or withdrawn without notification.
• We endeavour to respond to you within three months, but if you haven't heard back by then, please take this to mean that we unfortunately can't move forward with your pitch at this time.
• Accepted pitches and drafts will undergo a collaborative editing process. Fees will be negotiated depending on the specifics of the work.
